Does the apartment have aircondition A/C?
There is no aircon in the apartment, however there are ceiling fans in the lounge and master bedroom and a normal floor fan for the extra bedroom. The apartment is located on the 4th floor so it is also possible to open the windows in both sides to allow for a breeze.
How is the heating in the apartment?
There are oil radiators for the “cold” winter evenings, however they are rarely used as the the sun is low on the horizon in the winter and the apartment is on the 4th floor with sun all afternoon and evening.
Do we need a car?
Not really. There is a train from Malaga airport directly to Fuengirola where it terminates. Walking from the train station to Puebla Lucia takes about 4 minutes. We have a video with taking you from the train station and until you are inside the apartment, it takes 8 minutes including waiting for the lift. If we have a car anyway, where can we park?
There is free parking inside the urbanisation, and there is a remote control in the apartment. The parking spaces are not allocated to a specific apartment and in the summer you may have to search for a parking spot.
We have a baby, is that OK?
Of course it is OK. The apartment has a high chair (from IKEA) and a small play pen for you to use.
We are arriving late, how do we get the key?
That is no problem. The keys are sent to you by mail in advance so you can access the complex. You will also be given a code for the key safe which is located next to the door.
When is check-in and out?
Unless otherwise agreed, check-in is after 14:00 and check-out is before 10:00.
If you wish to arrive earlier or leave later then we generally flexible if there is nobody arriving immediately after. However if you wish to be certain, then you will have to book either a full day or a half day. Normally you will be able to store the suitcases in the utility room for a few hours when the cleaning is there, but once the next tenant moves in, the suitcases have to be picked up. There is also a possibility to leave your suitcases in one of the restaurants if they agree to it.
Can we clean and save money?
The final cleaning is obligatory and goes to pay for the cleaner and the laundry service. We like to have a high standard, and it is our experince that there are too many factors influencing the final cleaning, such as age, time to flight departure etc. that ew have decided always to clean the apartment to the same standard.
Please let us know if the cleaning is not up to your standard, and we will attend to it immediately.
What does it cost to take a taxi to the airport?
The price is between €35 and €50 depending on what time and day. The nearest taxi stop is in front of the train station and next to the bus station. 5 minutes walk from the urbanisation.
Can we drink the tap water?
Yes and no. Most Spanish drink the tap water without problems. However you may not be used to the local bacterias, so we suggest to buy bottled water or boil the tap water first.
How can we be certain that this apartment is real and not a scam?
It seems to be a European wide scam to get money out of holiday goes. The scam is normally setup with a luxury property at a low price. We are the oweners of this apartment and not an agency. The property is reqistered as a “verified property” with one of the large portals which are actively fighting against fraud. Is there a safety box in the apartment?
No safety box. However we are not aware of any burglaries for many years back.
